State Board of Education District Elects First-Ever Republican Representative

The Texas State Board of Education is comprised of 15 members whose districts cover the entire state, making these districts double the size of a congressional district in the Lone Star State.

Texas SBOE District 2 runs southwest of the Greater Houston area, through Corpus Christi, and down the coast to the Texas-Mexico border. This district had never elected a Republican representative – until 2022.

LJ Francis won this seat by 1,398 votes of almost 400,000 cast. LJ’s victory resulted in a Republican majority on the State Board of Education, which sets curriculum standards, approves the creation of new charter schools, and oversees the multibillion-dollar Permanent School Fund.

Working with the Republican Party in Texas’ Most Populous County

CAZ Consulting saw great success in working with Harris County Republican Party (HCRP). HCRP targeted multiple Houston City Council races in the November 2023 election. Together, we helped elect a historic number of Republicans to the governing body of the fourth largest city in the United States. We continue to work with HCRP to achieve victory across the county.

3rd Largest School District in Texas is Now Led by Republicans

Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, with over 117,000 students in Greater Houston, stands as Texas’ third-largest school district. To best serve our next generation, it was vital that Cy-Fair ISD returned to the basics of education, removed indoctrination from classrooms, and established a standard of excellence.

In the November 2023 election, the voters in Cy-Fair ISD elected three conservatives to the Board of Trustees, resulting in a 6-1 majority on the board. CAZ Consulting ran these races, managing direct voter contact, messaging, and the overall strategy. Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is now the largest public school district in the state that is run by a Republican majority.
